About FosterHive
Our Purpose
FosterHive was made to coordinate local organizations for teenagers transitioning out of the Foster Care system by connecting them to valuable resources, aiding in their transition into independence, and helping them reach their highest potential.
We are Cohort 15 of the Youth Philanthropy Initiative— an organization funded by the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ypi is a three-year program that allows high school students to make a difference in their community and become philanthropic leaders.
After a year of researching how we could improve our community, our cohort decided to focus our time on supporting those transitioning out of the Foster Care system. We have created a coalition initiative to make resources more accessible for foster youth.
